Useful tips for using EasyFP easier and quicker

  • You can select many files and folder at the same time, and encrypt/decrypt them together
  • EasyFP can recognize encrypted files automatically, it won't encrypt an encrypted file and it won't decrypt an unencrypted file. So you don't need to distinguish encrypted files from other files while you want to decrypt these files. You can just select all of files in a folder, and decrypt them, EasyFP won't touch those files which haven't been encrypted.
  • Actually you aren't forced to use EasyFP in windows explorer. You can use EasyFP in nearly all of programs. For example, when I am using notepad, I click open command from file menu, then a file dialog pops up. I can do encrypting/decrypting operation in this file dialog. See the following picture:

  • You can set a default password so that you don't need to input password each time when you encrypt files. To know how to do that, click here.
  • Usually encrypted files can't be deleted, renamed and modified, copied. It is an important function and give your files special protect. But EasyFP also provide you an option to enable/disable file protecting function. When you don't want this function enabled temporarily, you can disable it, and then encrypted files can be deleted, renamed modified and copied just like normal files. To know how to enable/disable the function, click here.

How to decrypt files?

Decrypting files or folder is similar to encrypting them.

Please note: if you can't provide the exact password which is used when encrypting, decrypting will fail. And we don't have any super password to help you. So please remember your password when you encrypting!!!
